How To Outgrow Your Bullshit

Writer: Thea LessardThea Lessard

We all have our own bullshit - the negative self-talk, limiting beliefs, and bad habits that hold us back from reaching our full potential.

But the good news is that we can outgrow our bullshit and become the best version of ourselves.

In this blog post, we will explore some tips on how to outgrow your bullshit.

1. Identify your bullshit The first step in outgrowing your bullshit is to identify it. Take some time to reflect on your thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that are holding you back.

Ask yourself questions like:

- What negative self-talk do I engage in?

- What limiting beliefs do I hold?

- What bad habits do I have?

Write down your answers and be honest with yourself. This will help you to become aware of your bullshit and start to work on it.

2. Challenge your bullshit

Once you have identified your bullshit, it's time to challenge it. Ask yourself: - Is this thought/belief/behavior true? - Is it helpful? - Is it serving me? If the answer is no, then it's time to challenge it. Replace negative self-talk with positive affirmations, challenge limiting beliefs with evidence to the contrary, and replace bad habits with healthier ones.

3. Take action

Outgrowing your bullshit requires action. Start small and take one step at a time. For example, if your bullshit is negative self-talk, start by replacing one negative thought with a positive one. If your bullshit is a bad habit, start by replacing it with a healthier one.

4. Surround yourself with positivity

Surround yourself with positive people who support and encourage you to outgrow your bullshit. This could be friends, family, or a mentor. Avoid people who bring you down or reinforce your bullshit.

5. Practice self-care Self-care is essential for outgrowing your bullshit. Take care of your physical, emotional, and mental health. This could include exercise, meditation, therapy, or any other activity that helps you to feel good about yourself.

In conclusion, outgrowing your bullshit is possible. Identify your bullshit, challenge it, take action, surround yourself with positivity, and practice self-care. Remember that it's a process, and it takes time and effort. But with persistence and determination, you can outgrow your bullshit and become the best version of yourself.
